Guidelines about how to collaborate with Unidea and apply for contributions
STEP 1
Submit an application on-line
Before applying for financing, the bodies interested in collaborating with Unidea - UniCredit Foundation must fill in the form and attach a letter of intent signed by the legal representative.
STEP 2
Preliminary assessment
The application form, containing a brief description of the proposed project, will give the Projects Office the possibility of deciding whether the proposal is coherent with the interests of the Foundation and if the funds available are sufficient to permit an examination of the application. Following an assessment of the application the Foundation's Projects Office will, if it sees fit, ask the body to submit a formal request for financing.
STEP 3
Formal request for financing and description of the project
Even though no pre-established application form exists, in order to be evaluated with care the proposal must follow the indications expressed on the on-line form and contain a detailed report which includes the following information, in a complete and specific manner:
- The previous year's balance sheet of the applicant body.
- An accurate description of the project activity, including general objectives, specific objectives and expected results. In addition, the direct and indirect beneficiaries and the local counterpart must be specified. Possible commitments undertaken by the benefiting Government, or other local and national institutions must also be indicated. Finally, particular care must be taken in describing all aspects which guarantee the tenability of the project. The monitoring methods which will be used should also be indicated.
- A detailed overall financial plan, divided by year.
- Copies of any possible agreements made with local institutions.
STEP 4
Assessment of the application for financing
The document titled "Main guidelines" includes the criteria for examination and assessment (ex-ante ed ex-post), as well as general lines and appropriate methodologies which the Foundation will refer to in order to evaluate the proposals for collaboration.
During the evaluation phase the Foundation reserves the right to ask for additional documentation and possible modification of the project proposal. In the event of a positive assessment, and following the specific resolution of the Board of Directors, it will be possible to proceed with the payment of the contribution amount.
STEP 5
Statement of account and assessment ex-post
Each project, be it own-initiative or submitted by third parties, must be suitably accounted. The account, in duplicate, must be sent to the Foundation's Administration Secretary within three months of the closure of the year to which it refers. The Administration Secretary and the the Projects Office will examine it within 60 days of presentation. |
