The Foundation supports projects which encourage the fight against underdevelopment, poverty and hardship, with particular regard to interventions capable of favouring human development, food and economic self-sufficiency, healing endemic disease, caring for the sick, children and, more in general, the poorest levels of the population. The Foundation will intervene, with its own initiatives and/or by supporting third-party projects in the following:
- Encourage the creation of and strengthen basic medical and social services;
- Encourage the development of human resources through basic education and professional training and up-dating;
- Develop socio-economic actions aimed at favouring growth in countries where there is the highest concentration of poverty and hardship;
- Strengthen relations between institutional structures and civilian society in order to consolidate the process of economic and democratic transition and to favour self-sufficiency and responsibility in civilian society;
- Encourage and organise specific research, sector studies, seminars and training courses relating to issues of interest to the Foundation, exhibitions, conventions and meetings including the publication of relative documents;
- Set up grants and scholarships;
- Spread and encourage the culture of no-profit and the value of donation, above all in UniCredito Italiano Group employees; stimulate and strengthen the sector of no-profit and volunteer work.
