AGS (Associazione Giovanile Salesiana) per il Territorio deals with young people, minors in family difficulties, immigrants and unaccompanied foreign minors in Italy through the provision of services aimed at preventing the causes of social exclusion. The projects are implemented in the various youth centres of the member organisations, in cooperation with public bodies and educational institutions.

AGS (Associazione Giovanile Salesiana) per il Territorio is a non-profit organisation, founded in 1999.

The Association's statutory aim is to raise awareness and coordinate its members in addressing local issues. It serves as a key interlocutor between the Salesian world, local authorities, and other organisations with similar goals.
AGS per il Territorio has developed significant expertise in the field of social policies. This includes skills and professionalism gained from both developing and implementing its own projects and managing educational services for young people in collaboration with local authorities.

Spazio Labs, a program through which the association won a grant via the EduFund Platform, targets young people aged 15 to 19 who are at risk of or have already dropped out of the school system. Its goal is to reduce social exclusion and foster their reintegration through innovative educational tools and psycho-educational support.

Implemented in two neighborhoods of Turin, the program offers pathways of varying intensity: year-long programs for school or work reintegration, workshops for at-risk groups, and extracurricular activities for prevention and support. The initiatives, led by educators, psychologists, teachers, and company tutors, actively involve families and local communities. The project also aims to develop a scalable and sustainable educational model, supported by continuous monitoring and advocacy activities to raise institutional awareness.

Funding for Spazio Labs is part of a long-standing partnership established with AGS over the years, which also led to the creation of another project, Maker Lab, completed in 2025.

Maker Lab

The programme, concluded in August 2025, involved 9 schools, 300 teachers, and 415 students from the Piedmont region (mostly from disadvantaged backgrounds). The initiative focused on developing life skills, while promoting psychological well-being. The pathway fostered autonomy, contextual understanding, positive relationships, and personal growth. Significant progress was recorded in communication and decision-making empowerment, along with a strengthened sense of self-awareness. However, managing emotions and relational dynamics remain more complex areas. To address this, future editions will include peer review and dedicated sessions aimed at improving emotional management.
