Consorzio Meridia Meridia is a non-profit consortium based in Bari (Apulia, Italy), operating in the social-welfare, training and socio-work inclusion fields, with particular attention to professional training and social and socio-health innovation, also through the search for new languages and tools that enhance the contribution of digital.

"Meridia invests in human capital and emphasizes the centrality of the individual. The consortium aims to create a new model of social enterprise based on community welfare policies, addressing the needs of those in disadvantaged situations and fostering inclusive growth.

Meridia works with social cooperatives to provide services to people and help integrate marginalized individuals into the labour market.

The consortium engages with local communities to understand their needs and improve the quality of services provided. It adheres to a strict code of ethics and management practices to ensure transparency and accountability.

Over the past two decades, Meridia has built strong roots in the community, gaining deep insights into the realities and stories of people in need. The consortium's efforts have led to the growth of social cooperatives and the creation of a more inclusive and supportive environment for marginalized individuals."

"The ""Skill@ti"" programme, picked up by UniCredit Foundation via the Call for Education 2022, aims to tackle early school dropout and educational poverty among vulnerable students residing in fragile and high-risk neighbourhoods. It seeks to achieve this through innovative pathways of formal and informal learning compared to traditional schooling.

The programme targets students aged 13 to 16 who are at risk of early school dropout due to cognitive and/or behavioural difficulties. By offering guided educational reinforcement, it aims to keep these students engaged and support their academic and personal development.

The programme is implemented in Southern Italy (Bari, Barletta, and Matera), in areas where students are most vulnerable to early school dropout. It ensures that educational support reaches those who need it most.

""Skill@ti"" adopts a multidimensional approach that focuses on developing transversal skills, volunteering, civic and social engagement. The programme includes a digital technology campus to improve STEM skills, life skills training for psychological well-being, and the Changemaker Academy for active citizenship. It involves the Children's Rights Commissioner, the Department of Youth Policies, and social cooperatives to create a comprehensive support network."
