Chosen by UniCredit Foundation's Call for Education in 2023, the "SOS No One Out" programme aims to prevent early school leaving among students at risk of dropping out.
It works with students, school staff, and families to identify and mitigate risk factors, ultimately creating a supportive environment that promotes learning, self-awareness, life skills, and opportunities for students to express their interests.
The programme targets vulnerable students aged 11 to 19 who are at risk of dropping out due to addiction. These students require comprehensive support to continue their education and develop essential life skills.
Implemented in Emilia Romagna, Lombardy, and Sicily, the programme operates in regions with significant educational challenges, focusing on providing tailored interventions to support at-risk students.
"SOS No One Out" offers career and educational guidance workshops, personalized tutoring, education workshops to promote individual emotional intelligence, and extracurricular workshops for students suspended from school. School staff receive online counselling service, and school leaders participate in mutual learning seminars to exchange best practices in preventing early school leaving. Parents are involved in online counselling service and mutual support groups to exchange experiences with other parents.
