Through structured programmes and integrated interventions, DASATO supports schools and teachers in adopting innovative methodologies, including project-based learning, promoting transversal skills, autonomy and a spirit of initiative. With a strong focus on impact and continuous monitoring, DASATO enhances educational opportunities and fosters the active participation of younger generations, supporting more inclusive and sustainable learning pathways.

The programme supports a systemic transformation of upper secondary education, with the aim of reducing educational poverty and the risk of early school leaving and NEET status among young people.

Through the introduction of project-based learning (PBL) at a whole-school level, it enhances the quality of teaching and promotes a more active, relevant and practice-oriented approach to learning.

Teachers are supported through structured professional development pathways, enabling the integration of transversal skills and the adoption of participatory methodologies.

At the same time, the programme supports students in developing key future-ready competences — including critical thinking, collaboration and initiative — through applied learning experiences, mentoring and opportunities to design projects in real-world contexts.

The intervention focuses on less advantaged regions of central and eastern Slovakia, particularly Banská Bystrica (7 schools), Prešov and Košice (4 schools each), reaching a total of 15 schools and strengthening the link between education, local communities and the labour market.

Through an integrated, impact-driven approach, the programme develops a scalable and sustainable model capable of enhancing educational opportunities and supporting more inclusive, future-oriented development pathways.
