Škola dokorán – Wide Open School is a Slovak non-profit organisation promoting inclusive, innovative, and community-based education. Since 2015, it has supported disadvantaged children and families through play, participation, and social-emotional development. As the Slovak national partner of the international Aflatoun network, it delivers social and financial literacy programmes from early childhood to adolescence, bridging formal and non-formal education.

With strong expertise in teacher training, curriculum development, and family engagement, Škola dokorán has created educational tools aligned with national curricula and supports kindergartens and primary schools in fostering equity and soft skills. Its flagship innovation—the Play Hub model—offers intergenerational community spaces for play and learning, now active in nine European countries and reaching over 20,000 children annually. The organisation actively participates in Erasmus+ projects and collaborates with NGOs and academic institutions internationally.

The "Empowering At-Risk Children through Community-Based Learning Hubs" programme addresses early school leaving among vulnerable lower secondary students aged 11–15 across five UniCredit countries, with a particular focus on girls facing multiple discrimination. Building on the success of Play Hubs and validated secondary-level interventions, it creates inclusive learning ecosystems that strengthen resilience, agency, and future pathways. Activities include local assessments, tailored action plans, and modular interventions covering social and financial literacy, psychological wellbeing, early marriage prevention, youth mentoring, and whole-school approaches. Delivery includes international training, national workshops, and peer learning platforms, resulting in a tested toolkit and replicable resources to tackle school dropout sustainably and systemically.
