Through high-impact educational and guidance programmes, it promotes self-awareness, decision-making skills and inclusion, supporting thousands of students in taking an active and responsible role in society.

Sophia’s approach is based on proprietary methodologies designed to strengthen self-awareness, informed choice and individual responsibility, enabling a shift from passive participation to an active role in shaping one’s future.

The effectiveness of the model is supported by social impact evidence measured through the SROI methodology, as well as by tangible results, including the engagement of young people at risk of exclusion, the reintegration of NEETs into education and employment pathways, and improved employability outcomes.

Over time, the organisation has built a strong network of collaborations with schools, institutions and national partners, reaching thousands of students in Italy and abroad, also through intercultural dialogue programmes.

The project engages 3,000 students aged 15 to 19 in a structured pathway aimed at strengthening self-awareness, confidence and decision-making skills, addressing uncertainty about the future and supporting a smooth and informed transition to higher education and the labour market.

Through a progressive educational model, students are guided along a pathway that combines self-discovery, critical thinking development and career guidance. This is further enriched by intercultural exchange experiences with peers in Senegal, broadening perspectives and fostering a deeper awareness of individual context and opportunities.

The methodology is built on three core pillars – knowing oneself, deciding and acting – and provides practical, real-life tools. These include self-awareness exercises to identify talents and interests, experiential and creative workshops (such as storytelling, video-making and writing), peer-to-peer exchange and engagement with professionals, as well as individual mentoring focused on building a concrete education and career pathway.

Delivered in collaboration with schools, teachers and a network of educational and professional partners, the project generates a tangible and lasting impact, supporting young people in becoming informed and proactive agents of their own development.
