It is with great pleasure that we announce the winners of the 16th Best Paper Award in Gender Economics.

This year we received a high number of submissions, all of exceptionally high quality. The impressive standard of the papers made the work of the Evaluation Committee both deeply rewarding and extremely challenging. In light of this, it was decided to extend the number of awards from 2 to 3 for this year’s edition.

We are therefore delighted to award 16th Best paper Award on Gender Economics:

  • Anning Xie - The Dynamics of Fertility, Bargaining, and Human Capital Accumulation

  • Carmela Accettura - Bella Ciao! The Political Legacy of Women in the Italian Resistance

  • Claudia Marangon - Identity in Journalism: Evidence from News Reporting of Violence Against Women

We warmly congratulate all awardees for their remarkable work and extend our sincere appreciation to all applicants, whose research and commitment contribute greatly to the vitality and excellence of our community.
