UniCredit Foundation is pleased to announce the winners of the 2025 edition of the Marco Fanno PhD Research Grant, an initiative aimed at supporting high-quality PhD programs in economics and finance and fostering academic excellence and international research.

Following a rigorous selection process, the Evaluation Committee has decided to award the grants to:

  • Department of Economics, Ca’ Foscari University of Venice

  • Department of Economics, Bocconi University

Both institutions have been recognized for the outstanding quality of their PhD programs and their strong commitment to advanced research in economics.

Each grant, amounting to €40,000, will be allocated to support research activities and strengthen doctoral training over the course of the 2026/2027 and 2027/2028 academic years. In accordance with the call for applications, the funds will contribute to enhancing the academic experience of PhD candidates and promoting international mobility and collaboration.
