Since its inception, the initiative has raised more than €1.7 million, involved 58 beneficiary organizations, and welcomed nearly 138,000 spectators to Teatro alla Scala. This commitment has been recognized by institutions: in 2024, the Filarmonica received the Ambrogino d’Oro from the City of Milan, and in 2025, the project became the subject of a master’s thesis at Bocconi University, analyzing its impact on the community.
The opening event on Sunday, January 18 will be exceptionally open to the general public (outside subscription) and dedicated to the Giulia Cecchettin Foundation, supporting educational projects on emotional awareness in schools, in response to the urgent issue of gender-based violence. On the podium will be Riccardo Chailly, with Alexandre Kantorow at the piano, performing Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 3 in C major, Op. 26 and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4 in F minor, Op. 36.
In agreement with the City of Milan, part of the tickets will still be reserved for socially disadvantaged groups and the beneficiary organizations of this edition.
The other four Open Rehearsals, scheduled from February 22 to October 25, will support organizations working to combat educational poverty in Milan:

Since 2010, the collaboration between the Filarmonica della Scala, Teatro alla Scala, the City of Milan, UniCredit, UniCredit Foundation, and Esselunga has enabled the full proceeds from these events to be donated to beneficiary organizations. Funds have supported projects for children, the elderly, people with disabilities, scientific research, and initiatives for youth and urban communities.
The Giro di Prova initiative also continues in this fifteenth edition: a series of chamber concerts designed for children and young people involved in beneficiary organizations’ projects, offering them a direct and engaging introduction to music.
