A leaner, more international governance to further strengthen the Foundation’s philanthropic mission

The UniCredit Foundation Board of Directors has been renewed, moving from nine to five members, with the goal of making governance even more cohesive, impactful, and effective.

Andrea Orcel, Chairman of UniCredit Foundation as well as Chief Executive Officer and Head of Italy at UniCredit Group, and Giorgio Barba Navaretti have been confirmed in their roles as Chair and Deputy Chair, respectively.

Joanna Carss, Board Member and Head of Group Stakeholder Engagement at UniCredit Group, also remains on the Board.

Two highly respected professionals have joined as new members: Michael Spence and Simona Costanzo Sow, bringing strong academic backgrounds and international philanthropic experience.

 

The new Board, composed of both internal and external members of UniCredit Group with outstanding international profiles and expertise, marks an important step forward in pursuing the Foundation’s ambitious goals and amplifying its positive impact in the communities where the Group operates.
